Family Fun Weekend!

This was such a fun weekend to me! Sophie and I got up early and made a run to CVS to get the end of the week sales. Look who we saw when we got there! It's Crystal and her mom,Vickie!!

We came home with (I didn't take a picture):
(2) pkg Playskool diapers
(2) Dawn dish washing soaps
(2) 1 liter Scope
(3) Ragu
(1) personal care items
(2) 20 oz. Aquafina Water
(2) bags pretzels 2/.99

Subtotal: approx. $50
ECB's spent: $6.99
OOP: $3.80
ECB's earned: $10

I also got to scope out the June deals that started the next day. When I got home, I did some housework, and Hank went to run.
Then we got a call from my parents who had my sister's kids, Luke and Sierra. They wanted us to go see a movie with them, so we loaded up and met them around 2. The boys all went and saw Speedracer and the girls all went and saw Narnia. I HIGHLY recommend Narnia!! So good! I didn't think I would be so into these, but I am!
After that, we went to swim. Our boys swam with their cousins for OVER THREE HOURS!! (I know I have pictures of them swimming, but I can't seem to locate them right now. Maybe they are on our video camera.) Then we headed home, and got everyone in bed early.
Sunday morning, I woke up early... I suppose from the early night. Tres was up, so he and I went to the convenient store just down the road and picked up the Sunday paper. Hank and I got the boys up, fed, and dressed for church. I got lunch going in the crock pot, and then got myself and Sophie ready.

We had a great worship service at church! I mean, it was so good! Sophie wasn't doing too good in the nursery, and the boys both fell asleep during worship, so we left shortly after the worship service was over. We made a stop at Academy Sports and Hank ran and in and picked up some new running shoes. Then we headed over to CVS so I could pick up the June deals. Hank and the kids stayed in the car, which was good, cause it cut my shopping time down BIG time! I was in and out in about 15 minutes. And here is what I got:

(3) Listerine Smart Rinse
(3) Huggies Hair & Body Wash
(2) 500 ct. CVS q-tips
(2) 40 ct. CVS band-aids
(2) 2-pk. Oral B Crossaction Toothbrushes
(1) Gillette Phenom Razor
(2) 4-pk. CVS D batteries
(2) Dawn Dish washing Soap
(4) Caramel Kit Kats (on clearance for $.20 ea)
(2) bags of Smart Pop (request from waiting children in car!)
(2) Push Pops (on clearance for $.20 ea)

Now... are you ready for this?

Subtotal: approx. $80
ECB's spent: $17.99
OOP: $1.33
ECB's earned: $43.43

So after that, we headed home, ate our crock pot meal and chilled around the house for a little while. We had plans to go to the drive-in to see a double feature of "Indian Jones and the Crystal Skull" and "Iron Man", but it started raining, so we checked the weather and saw we could still go cause it was moving on through. So we packed up our snacks (purchased as transaction fillers at CVS!) and headed out. Our kids love camping out in the back of the van at the Drive-in! They all came in pj's cause we knew it would be a late night, and more than likely end in just Mom & Dad watching the movie. Sophie was just about ready for bed when we first got there! She was delirious and wiggley for about 30 minutes, then passed out.

It was such a fulfilling weekend. Easy going and relaxing... perfect for making memories!

This past weekend was halfway normal for us around here! I had traveled for two weekends in March for away volleyball tournaments and we had traveled for Easter, so it was nice to just 'be' this weekend. We spent Saturday having fun with the kids. Hank even took them to a Spring Fling thing while Sophie and I went to a Ladies Night Out with the church. Sunday was nice too. It was my Dad's 54th birthday! HE and my mom both had a virus, so we put family birthday plans on hold. We went to church then late afternoon, we decided to go to the Drive-In. But before we went we made a special trip over to my parent's house to deliver a present.
Here are the boys ringing the doorbell. I told my parents not to breath on them or kiss them! And we didn't go in, but I just couldn't let my Dad's actual birthday go by with no recognition at all! So we delivered a very special present that the kids and I had put together for him!It was a hand-painted shirt that had their handprints on it and it read "You're The Best! Hands Down!" Now I realize that we should have done the handprints actually down, but oh well! He loved it and wore it proudly last night when we finally got to do cake and presents.

**Notice the boys are in their camo pjs. Everyone of us, besides Hank, wore our pjs to the Drive-in! That's just how we roll!

Daddy's Girl

We loaded up the family on Sunday night and took the kids to see the Bee Movie at the Drive-In. It was half price, so we all saw a movie for $5! It was Sophie's first drive-in experience. She was a Daddy's girl that night (with the exception of one mid-movie feeding) and I thought they were cute together.
Waiting in the van for the movie to start. Both boys were asleep in the back and we let them doze until the last minute.Hank has even got her to do this sort-of goat sounding laugh. She actually watched the movie for about 30-45 minutes until she got tired. I think Daddy enjoyed holding her!

Drive-In Adventures

We planned an outing with my parents and Jennie this past Sunday evening. We made it back out to the Drive-In to see 'Surf's Up.' We loaded down the van with 7 people, 5 chairs, a cooler, and pillows (a necessity for the boys!) and headed out!
It was fun... and even comical. My Dad went and got some concessions (very cheap, by the way) and when he got back, my Mom proceeded to dump the nachos on my Dad's pant leg! Then I proceeded to drop a canned drink and puncture it, which shot soda all over my leg and Jennie's! Then I kept dropping food on myself! The boys, of course, made themselves comfortable in the back... and got irritated at me for taking their pictures! :)

Hank, my Dad, Tres, Bryant, and my nephew Luke actually went back last night (half price night) and saw 'Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.' Hank said the boys were a little loud and kept him busy. But that's the beauty of the Drive-In: it's outside and kids can be loud! Also the fresh air helps them fall asleep on the way home! :)

Weekend Review...

With Tres and Bryant. News you can't live without!

First in the news... Friday morning, Dad took us to the lake in our neighborhood to feed the ducks, but since there weren't any there, we fed the fish instead! Mom went to a yard sale down the street and bought more pink girl stuff while we were gone. She is always looking at pink stuff these days!

Then on Saturday, we met Aunt Kelly for lunch at Jim 'n Nicks. Aunt Kelly is our Mom's friend. We sat outside and that was good, except our colors melted in the sun while we ate! Aunt Kelly had a late birthday present for Bryant. She got him sidewalk chalk and bubbles. I really wanted him to share, so he did. Before the day was over, the bubbles were gone! Thanks Aunt Kelly!

Then we went to the park by Luke & Sierra's school on the way home. Bryant got in trouble for throwing rocks......and Tres climbed to the top of the green wall and proclaimed himself 'King of the World!'

Sunday we went to our Rainbows class at church. Then we went to Golden Corral with Grandadddy, Aunt Jennie, Aunt Tonnie, Uncle Brett, Luke, and Sierra. We ate a lot of food!! Then we all went home. That night, Grandaddy went with us to the Drive-In to see Shrek the Third. I liked it and sat with Grandaddy, but Tres fell asleep.

That's it for the weekend review folks!
This is Bryant...And this is Tres.

Signing off until next time!
