Nothing but the Favor!

I am stepping out in faith with a ministry opportunity! Please be in prayer for me. It has been a while since I have been smack-dab-in-the-middle of ministry like this will position me. I have been focusing on having my babies and my honeymoonin' with my husband! We are keeping everything kind of low-key while we work out details and kinks, but please be in prayer and I will post new information as it is available! Thank you!

Mc Buzz Lightyear

Posted by Hello
So my little family was down with the flu bug last week. It started with the littlest guys and worked its way to me. Hank was the only one to escape! What a man I married. He has been such a trooper. Because I literally had zero energy. I have stayed at home for the majority of the week with the boys, and basically took care of them and slept. Anyway, Thursday night was probably the worst night for me. I was so achy and had chills and fever. When Hank called to say he was on his way home from work, I asked him if he would take Tres to McDonalds so I could just rest (Bryant was already in bed). So I went to get Tres dressed. I opened his closet and he walked in behind me. He raised his eyebrows, and said "Oh, momma... my Buzz costume!" You see he got a 'real' Buzz Lightyear costume from his Aunt Betsy for Christmas. I pulled out an Alabama outfit and said "How 'bout this?" He said, "Alabama? Okay," but he was very not pleased. Then he said, "Well, I wear my Buzz costume, but no." I just couldn't help it! Call me a softie if you want, but that little cutie went to McDonalds as Buzz and loved every minute of it. Before he left, I asked him, "Will you be good for Daddy, Tres?" He looked me in the eyes, very seriously and said, "Momma, I not Tres. I Buzz."

We love Sunday afternoons at home!  Posted by Hello

He Made It Squirt!!!

Every night before bathtime, Tres sits on his training potty. It's a little red and blue number that has a removeable tray to dispose of "waste." So every night, we go through the same routine. He gets undressed (or strips himself down... I swear the child loves to be naked!)... then he heads over to his potty. He sits down, and I say, "Now we stick it in... and we squirt!" He usually laughs at me cause I make a big production out of it. Tonight we went through our ritual. And he kept sitting there. I asked him, "Did you make it squirt?" And he said, "Yeah, momma, I did!" But I, of course, did not believe him because he says that every night. But sure enough, when I lifted him up to put him in the tub, there was the littlest puddle of pee-pee you ever did see! I got so excited! I said, "Tres, I am so proud of you! What a big boy you are!" He got this pleased look on his face, and said smugly, "Your welcome, momma."

Tres had his first friend over from church pm Sunday, January 16. Joshua Burks came home with us and spent the day. They had a blast together! We had very few arguments. It was fun to see Tres interact with his buddy. I think it gave his #1 buddy (Daddy) a nice break! Posted by Hello

Date Night Re-instated!

So in the midst of all the sickness this week, I got a wonderful phone call. My husband called me and asked me if I wanted to go on a date this weekend! I am so excited. I have a sitter lined up and have already looked at movie times and have considered restaurants very seriously. I'm not sure how long it's been since we've had a date, but I know I am looking forward to it! Some time to just be a couple! I love it!

I Resolve to...

I know it's the 21st day of January and all, but I just realized that I forgot to post my News Years Resolutions!
1- To grow closer to God through spending more time in the Bible, praising more consistantly, and thanking him regularly for the many blessings in my life.
2- To have at least one date a month with my husband.
3- To spend one-on-one time with each of my boys regularly.
4- To try to keep my house cleaner, and not just neat.
5- To not use all my sick days this year!
6- To become a part of a vital ministry.
7- To become debt free in 2005! (We are so close!)

And here is Tres on the merry go round. They rode it 3 times! He rode a horse, a frog, and finally an eleplant. Hank rode a cat... wish I had a picture of that to post! Posted by Hello

Here is a picture from Hank and Tres's "date." Hank said they stayed in Toys R Us for about an hour playing with all kinds of toys! Posted by Hello

Bryant was still pretty pitiful today, but he was also pretty cute! Here he is with the Leap Frog table he got for Christmas. Posted by Hello

This afternoon, Tres decided to create his own lazy boy. He brought in his Buzz lounge chair, pillow, and blanket. Then he climbed in with his flash light and watched some Rolie Polie Olie. Posted by Hello

My boys!

Today was a good day. After yet another rough night with Bryant, we took it easy today. My dad and Jennie came over for a late breakfast. Then dad went to work and Jennie stayed with us for the day and night. Tres and Hank went to the mall and to Toys R Us to spend a little time together and out of the house. They had a good time. Hankie is SUCH a good daddy! My boys love him so much. I'll admit, it was hard when Tres started preferring to spend time with Hank over me... but I love the fact that they share such a special and close bond. Bryant is starting to respong to Hankie the same way. He even says "dada" all the time now. I am a very blessed woman to be surrounded with such wonderful guys! God is good.

Here is Bryant playing hide-n-seek with Chloe! She loves to lick his face... probably because of left-over baby food! Posted by Hello

Is it still flu season?

Well, we have a sick little one! We took Bryant to the doctor yesterday because he was obviously not feeling well. The doctor told us he had a double ear infection AND the flu! Yucky! He's so pitiful! I stayed home with him yesterday and Hank is staying home with him today. I hate it when one of my kid's is sick! Tres is doing great. He started Mother's Day Out this week. He loves his 'school.' He is in a class full of boys, so he gets to play and draw and learn and all that good stuff! Then he comes to me at 1 pm so exhausted, he sleeps for at least 2 hours! How awesome is that!
I started choir back at church. I love it! I have missed singing, although I sure have minded spending the time with my family. It's just nice to have something that is just for me. I'm trying to learn a lot of new songs, and Tres is constantly telling me to quit singing. How rude!
Well, I better get back to work. Since I was out yesterday, I came in at 6 am to try and catch a little bit of time up! I am exhausted!

This is my parents with Bryant at my grandparents house Posted by Hello

This is Christmas Eve at my grandparents house. This is an annual event where all my mom's side of the family get together and have dinner and play dirty Santa. I think we have outgrown their house though. We have about 30 adults and 10 kids in my grandparents little house! It was hot and you couldn't turn around in there! My little Santa was so tired!! We left shortly after this picture was taken and drove around and looked at Christmas lights until both boys were sound asleep. We've decided to make that a part of our family tradition. Posted by Hello

Here come the pictures!

I promised some pictures from Christmas and with my work load lately have not been able to blog! So I am taking a few minutes and doing it before work gets the best of me again! Get ready, get set...
