Family Fun Day!

On Monday, Bryant's actual birthday, Hank took the day off from work so that we could have a family day! We planned on doing lots of fun things geared just for our family. So we headed out around 10:30 (after sleeping in for a while!), and made a bee-line for Toys R Us, so that Bryant could spend a little birthday money he had gotten. He picked out a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle dress-up kit complete with mask and sword. Tres got to pick out a small toy, and picked out a mini-Transformer. After letting them play around in there a while, we headed over to Chuck-E-Cheese. Some of you may remember how I feel about this place. But despite my reservations, we had a great time! There were very few people there and we were able to relax a bit and let the kids have some fun for a couple of hours! We ate pizza there and let them use up their tokens. (He loved this Bob the Builder ride. He would put his arm around Bob while he rode it!) Since it was Bryant's birthday, he got 5 free tokens, a crown, a balloon, and a free ice cream. So after all the tokens were used, they sat down and ate that. We were going to take them to see a $1 movie, but they weren't open. So we headed over to the 280 area. We stopped at Kohl's for a few minutes, then we decided to let the boys try bowling! We got their little shoes and a lane... had the bumpers put up and found the lightest ball. Bryant loved it! It would take FOREVER for the ball to make it to the end of the lane, but when it did, even if it only knocked down one pin, you would turn around and go, "Yes! Strike!" Tres on the other hand, did not like like the fact that he had to have help from his daddy. He wanted to do it by himself. We let him try though and he did okay. After the bowling alley, we headed to Target to try and wait out some traffic, then headed back toward home. By the end of the day we had some very tired but happy little boys!
