Bryant's 3rd Birthday Party
We celebrated Bryant's 3rd birthday party this past Saturday at Heroes Park. The park is very low-key and is situated behind a fire station. We started the party at around 2 pm with mostly cousins (Ryan, Delaney, Maggie, Donovan, Sierra, Luke, and Tyler) and a few unexpected party crashers... Traci and Oliva Tidmore!
The kids immediately were captivated by several catepillars they discovered. They enjoyed the playground for a while and each other! Then we ate cake and snacks (which I didn't seem to get any pictures of! Bad Mom!). Next, we headed over to the fire station for our pre-arranged tour of the station and the fire truck! Our tour guide was Stephen Franks (Uncle Barry's youngest son!). He told the kids how they get ready when a fire is called in and how they should not be afraid. He even suited up for them. Then they got to climb on the truck and explore.
Bryant even got to fire up the siren! I'm sure he woke up the entire neighborhood!
Then we headed back to the park, and the firetruck pinanta waiting to be creamed by over anxious kids! Then we did a balloon release and called it a day! It was a wonderful party! Bryant giggled when we lit the candles on the cake and sang to him. He would NOT take off his fireman hat and coat for anything! He told my Aunt Mary 'You're Welcome
after he opened her present and proclaimed almost all of his gifts 'Cool!' It was a great day.
