I have family that live in Cheyenne, Wyoming and when I was a teenager we went up for a vacation and we went to the Medicine Bow Mountains. It was absolutely breath taking. The higher you go, the thinner the air so the harder it was to breathe but it was worth it. This was in July and there was snow on the ground. There would be a crack in the snow with a flower blooming. The lake was so clear and blue, you could see to the bottom and we could watch the rainbow trout swimming in it. As long as the sun was out you could walk around in short sleeves, but when it went behind a cloud you needed to grab a blanket or jacket. I rememer that my Aunt and Uncle didn't even have air conditioning, but even though it was in the high 80's it never got hot enough to sweat because there is no humidity. I LOVED it up there.
