Request for Prayer

Many of you know one of my dearest friends in this world, Traci (King) Tidmore. I got a call from her this morning. It was one of those moments, when you instantly know that something isn't right. She tearfully told me that her mother-in-law, Matt's mother Caroline, passed away very unexpectedly last night. She had had what everyone assumed was a cold. It got progressively worse until they finally took her to the emergency room. There, they found out that she had an infection, and before the night was through, she passed away. Just that quickly. The grace in all of this turmoil is very apparent. She was surrounded by those she dearly loved. And Matt was able to lead her in prayer as she entered the Throne Room. They are more than confident that she is worshipping our Saviour face to face! Funeral arrangements are being made, and from what I understand Matt is making most of the arrangements. Please keep the Tidmore and King families in your prayers. This is all new to them. They had not told the grandkids when I last spoke to Traci at 2 this afternoon. Pray for peace of mind. Pray for wisdom. Pray that all the financial needs are met. And pray that family members who do not know Christ will be touched by this sudden loss.

Matt and Traci met on All State Drama tour in 1994, I think. They did Master's Commission at Kingwood the following summer. Then they both went through a program called Next Exit. Matt is from Huntsville, where they currently live (just moved there about a year ago).

They have asked me to sing at her funeral. 'Come Just As You Are.' It's a song that I sang on the same drama tour they met on.
