Weekend Warriors!

Well, this weekend was busy! Saturday morning, I got up and headed over to a local storage unit facility. I had heard several good things about them, and we are in need of a place to unload our attic and excess furniture to de-clutter our home. We plan to have it ready to sale by June 1. They are having a deal right now: Rent first month, and get the second month free. So that sounded good. The unit was clean and the manager was super nice. Tres went with me, and made a new friend (the manager's son), and had a blast riding the golf cart around looking at the different sized units.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Hank stayed busy pressure washing our home and driveway.... off and on ALL DAY! He's still not quite finished. He really got drained working out in the sun all day. We want to send out a H-U-G-E 'THANK YOU!' to the Jones' for letting us borrow their pressure washer.

We took a break to let the boys play at McDonald's for lunch. Then Hank went and borrowed my Dad and his truck, and they moved out two loads of furniture to our new storage unit. Hank took my Dad home, and we kept the truck. Thank You, Daddy! We made about 3 more trips to the unit with attic storage stuff (Christmas, baby items, old toys, etc.).

Sunday I took the boys to church, and Hank stayed home to try and recover a bit from Saturday. He said his whole body was sore and his neck was hurting. When we got home, we got right back to it. Cleaning out more attic stuff. Taking down shelves, clearing out closets, etc.

The boys did pretty well all weekend. They played in the back or in their room and were so good! So we decided Sunday to head back to the Drive-In. They had half-price night and were showing 'Meet The Robinsons.' So for $5, we enjoyed some family time! Tres really liked the trip out to Harpersville. It was very scenic and such a pretty day! He spent a good 15 minutes like this. Who needs a dog to hang out the window, when you have Tres?!It was definitely nice to take a time-out from working to spend some quality family time! And they both fell sound asleep on the way home! :)

Tres Quotes

The following has been heard recently from our word proficient 4-year-old.

"Bryant, just chill out... like scrambled eggs!"

"Only when I go outside, do I get to go outside. Then I'm outside, and I can be outside."

"Mom, look at that!" Then he points to the contents of the toilet bowl he has just filled. "They look like peanuts!"

"If you do it my way, then we can all be happy."

Random Stuff!

We tried out the Snugli this morning! We never really thought about getting one of these before, but I can definitely see how it could come in handy with a third child. Hank was practicing for our Disney trip in December when she will be 4 months old!

We are also selling some little boy clothes on ebay. Just trying to make a little money off of the fortune we invested in our little fellows! :)

Also, we are planning on registering both Tres and Bryant for tee ball throught the YMCA program for the summer. They are both so excited! Tres was talking in his sleep about wearing his jersey and hat last night! It made us laugh.

Package Fun!

Our baby girl got a present from her Aunt Jackie yesterday! We came home and the boys and I had fun finding the package and going through it!

I'm sure she had help from a couple of my nieces, so thank to all of you girls!
My favorite was the little 2-piece white garden set. Hank's favorite was the Daddy's Little Girl sleeper. Bryant liked the bunny on the bibs. And Tres liked the purple Princess onsie!

Look At This!

I took Tres out yesterday to the dentist, and when we got done, we went to the mall for a bit. We went into Gap and I looked on the clearance rack and found this! I just HAD to have it! :) Just in case you can't read it, it says: "Good Looks Courtesy of Mom."

2007 Kia Sedona!

Here is our van in the light of day! I love the color. It's called Velvet Blue!Hank spent a good bit of time on it over the last couple of days. He scotch-guarded the seats and the carpets. We had also found some plastic sheets that he cut to fit under the seats to help keep them as clean as possible for as long as possible! And we found some grey seat covers at Big Lots for $5 a piece to cover the two bucket seats where the boys carseats are. He also wants to find one of those car bra thingies to help keep bugs off the front when we travel.

The Many Looks of Bry

All decked out in his Alabama outfit! He got this outfit from my parents for his birthday and couldn't wait to put it on! He's worn it only once cause I want to keep it white and nice for football games! :) He is holding his trusty wallet and ever present sword.

He got some bath foam in his Easter basket from Grandma. Tres got a hold of it and decided to decorate Bryant and the bathtub. Here is the result!

He plays dress-up constantly. He was being a statue/Batman here. This is his last pair of footed pj's. He calls them his 'baby jamas.' I noticed the other night that they are starting to get too short for him!

And last, but not least, this is how he typically falls asleep. He crosses his little legs or puts his hands behind his head and goes down for the count!

Oh, I almost forgot!

When we bought our van, our name was entered into a drawing to win a tailgate grill. And we won!! They asked Tres to draw out a name, and it was ours. It is a HUGE grill, that can be attached to a tailgate. It's stainless steel and very nice! Hank is excited to test it out this coming football season. I would have taken a picture, but we unloaded it at my parent's house since our house is once again being overtaken by boxes! AHHHHH!!!!

Just a little shopping trip

This past Thursday, I got word from my friend Eric that a lady at his work was having a yard sale and she was selling all of her little girls baby clothes. I gave her a call, and she let me come over early. I bought a BOAT LOAD of clothes! All in excellent to pristine condition! Everything from size 3 mos to 2T in dresses, sleepers, pj's, shorts, etc. I bought 3 pair of shoes, a package of unopened onsies from Old Navy, 4 blankets, a travel bottle warmer, the CUTEST little swimsuit (for next year), and a ton of other stuff I'm probably forgetting! I spent $50 and couldn't have been happier! All the name brands were Gymboree, Gap, Old Navy, Osh Kosh, etc.

The CuTeSt little bikini! Yeah, this may be the only one she is allowed to own! :)
Here are some of my favorite dresses that we got for $2 a piece!

This morning, I started out my day at around 6:15 am. Jennifer Snyder and I headed out to Jemison to visit Nicole's yard sale. I found some cute little shoes, a couple of sleepers and a blanket that matched on of the sleepers. I included that stuff in the the pics above. It was good to see Nicole, but she was side- tracked, so we headed back toward my house.

We hit several more yard sales. We had just about decided to just give up and head back home, when we two GREAT ones! I got a brand new Snugli for $6, a brand new (in the box)4-in-1 bathtub for $6...

a couple pair of shoes...
(I just LoVe the pink sparkley Mary Janes!) and a bunch of other little stuff. These pictures are a small representation of everything I got! I found some deals, ladies!

Then this afternoon, we took a little drive out to Tuscaloosa, and came home with this...A NEW VAN!!! Thanks to Hankie selling his Corvette and some savings, we were able to afford a brand new 2007 Kia Sedona! This is not the color we got. I am too tired to search for the exact color! We got Velvet blue, a deep navy. I love it! Can't you tell? And the boys love it too! Who wouldn't? Doors that slide open at the push of a button... stow-and-go third row seat... a 10 year/100,000 mile warrany... 5 year road-side assistance... and a ride as smooth as silk! We made a stop tonight and picked up some plastic floor mats to try and save the carpet some, and two seat covers for the bucket seats. We'll probably move the boys to the back seat once sweet pea is born, but for now, they are content where they are!

Unexpected Blessings!

Some of our neighbors are moving and just came over to my house and gave us their changing table! It's in excellent condition! It's light wood colored and is a sleigh sort-of design with a little drawer. What a blessing! I'm going yard-saling this Saturday, and thought I would try to find one, but now I don't have to! Now all I need is a Bumbo and an exersaucer!

11 ounces

That is how much the baby weighs right now. So if you have a canned drink, and you take a drink of it... that's about how much my baby weighs.

Also, she is kicking the crap outta me! Not hurting me, just letting me know she's there! Sometimes, I imagine that she is doing karate on my kidneys or jumping on my bladder like a trampoline. I can barely feel her on the outside though.

I hurt my back a couple of nights ago. Tres woke up crying the other night. Hank went in to lay with him, but since Bryant was in there too, I went in and just decided to pick him up and take him to our room. When I bent over to lay him in my bed, I felt something in my back give. It's been really fun (sarcasm in full effect here) not being able to do stuff. THe normal everyday stuff that keeps the house in decent shape. Laundry. Dishes. You name it. It's frustrating! Hank and my Mom have been lifesavers though! So while I sit on my butt with a heating pad on and take my one Tylenol I'm allowed, they bustle around and help. I love you both! Today is better. I'm still feeling twinges though, so I'm taking it as easy as possible.

I guess that's it! Until next time!

A New Adventure Begins!

We had our sonogram a couple of days earlier than we originally intended to. So we found out this morning, that we will be adding a little more estrogen to the Boemer household! IT'S A GIRL! Here is the money shot... and a profile picture for you to enjoy!
Doesn't she just look like a princess already with her little nose stuck up like that! We are waiting to introduce her name to everyone until D-Day though!

We have meltdown!

At the end of the day, our boys showed how tired they were in two very different ways. Bryant was silly. He put one of his toy bins on his head, spread his arms out, and proclaimed, "I come in peace!" It made us laugh so hard!

Tres on the other hand, just cried for attention and had zero patience!

The product of a sugar crash and no sleep.

See Me Grow!

19 weeks pregnant.
Okay, so here is a shot of my belly (no skin exposed! You can all thank me for that later!)! Bryant took this picture so it is a little crooked, but you get the idea.

To Grandma's House We Go!

After church, we had Easter lunch at my parent's house along with my Grandparents. A LOT of good food! Turkey, ham, pot roast, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, green beans, cole slaw, rolls, brocolli with cheese! It was incredible! Then the boys got a special Easter treat from Grandma and Grandaddy!

Then all the cousins on my side of the family showed up and we started the egg hunt.
Bryant didn't need any help! At the ripe old age of three, he's an old hand at this egg hunting business!Checking out the competition. Luke and Tres didn't stray too far away from one another! Tyler didn't need any help either! He just hung behind the bigger kids and found the ones that they missed!Sierra took her time and hunted at a leisurely pace! We hid eggs two different times and the kids had a lot of fun! By the end of the second hunt, my kids were having semi-meltdowns due to no naps, so we called it a day and headed home!

Easter Sunday Morning

Sunday morning, Hank and I were up first making sure our cameras were ready for action! Then we headed in to wake up the boys so we would have time to do baskets and get ready for church too!At first, they weren't too thrilled about being woken up!But they got over that, and quickly dove into their baskets! The Easter bunny didn't bring a lot of candy this year. He brought a few toys and bubbles and things. It;s a lot less fattening! :)They were especially thrilled with the little Hershey man and Reeses Man stuffed animals they got (purchased in Hershey, PA no doubt!). We had a hard time getting a decent picture of them together. So Mommy stepped in and tried to get them to cooperate!Oh, well... there's always next year! :)

Getting the Easter Eggs Ready!

We wanted to take our kids to our church's Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday. But Bryant woke up crying and having diahrea. No fun! So we made the decision to stay at home and try to get well for Easter Sunday. I mean, they had cute outfits and everything! What a waste if they didn't get to wear them, right? The boys were a tad disappointed, but Daddy made them happy! He ran to Wal-Mart and picked up some plastic eggs. We filled them with some candy and hid them in our den and let them hunt for a while.

By Saturday evening, the boys were both feeling fine. No diahrea for over 12 hours. We had planned on going to my Mom & Dad's house to dye eggs, but had put the plans on hold. I called up and informed them of our status, and they quickly told us to come on over! The boys were THRILLED!Aunt Jennie helped Bryant some and made a few of her own too! I think we ended up dying about 40 eggs that night. There were a few casualties of over-excitement, but those were quickly eaten! Notice Bryant giving you all the egg eye!

Delayed PA pictures!

Here's one of the many snowmen we saw while in PA. This was the second day when the snow was melting!
Jamie in front of the the 'Chocolate World' sign! Notice the baby bump. Or is it a chocolate bump? :) Here's Hank working on a chocolate bump of his own! :) This was the Cafe inside of Chocolate World. I wish I had gotten a picture of the street lights in Hershey, PA. The tops of the lights all had Hershey kisses on them! It was really a good visit!

Family Time

Last week, the days leading up to Bryant's birthday, we got to spend some time with the Boemer side of the family. We had a great time! We all packed out our little house, and they all pitched in to help get our yard ready for sale!

Saturday morning, Hank and my brother-in-law Jamie took my boys and Donovan to see Thomas the Train. They didn't get to ride on Thomas... but they did get to ride a pony! Seeing my little guys on horseback made me think about growing up on the farm and getting to ride all the time! Those were the good old days!
The Welborn cousins (Ryan, Delaney, Maggie, and Donovan) got to enjoy Bry's birthday party with us. Then after the festivities we loaded up and headed over to the Hall's in Newnan, GA. Here is Betsy and Heather.
We got to see their new GORGEOUS house! And the kids (including Hank) got to ride four-wheelers until they smelled like gas! Here's Uncle Jeff riding all 'the littles' (minus Heather) around for a nice SLOW ride! And here are Ashton, Delaney, and Maggie taking a ride around the yard.
We did a huge egg hunt for the kids, then we spent a little time just chillin' and eating and everyone headed home! It was a great visit.
