Convo with Tres-Man

On Sunday, we all were tired of being indoors, so we loaded up and went to Big Lots and to Wal-Mart. We have been looking for a new computer desk that will take up less space. So, anyway, both of the boys just had to wear baseball hats like their daddy was wearing. When we were in the car, Tres had me adjust his hat to fit his head, and this is the conversation that followed:

Tres: It's tight now, mom.
Mom: Do you want me to loosen it?
Tres: No, I don't want to lose it.
Mom: No, Tres... I mean... is it too tight?
Tres: Not white, mom. It's red.

Kids are fun!

Good Stuff

Tres has a new saying... "Wa Hoo!" He says it after everything. "We are going to have hamburgers? Wa Hoo!" "I am running! Wa Hoo!"

Bryant calls his daddy "Ahda" instead of dada. He walks around the house calling "Ahhhhh- Daaaa!"

Memorial Day

So Tres man woke us up this morning around 6 am screaming. I ran out into the den and he was standing in the hallway crying. I went to pick him up and smelled a HORRIBLE smell! I went straight to his room and turned on the light... and low and behold... there was a mess! He had had a severe diarhea diaper and it had gotten sooo far out of his diaper. It was a nasty mess to clean. And I felt so sorry for my poor baby having to wake up in that yuckiness!
Anyway, I got him cleaned up while Hank stripped his bed. Then I tucked him back into bed with Hank and I went back in and Lysoled and cleaned everything I thought was even close to it!!
Then I went and laid back on the couch until Tres woke me up again at 7:30 to tell me that he needed a new diaper. I went to change him and decided that he needed a bath. So in the tub he went. I cannot stand the thought of my children having germs on them!! I know I'm weird.
Anyway, I called his doctor's office at 8 on the off chance that they were open on Memorial Day... but no luck. I went ahead and left a message for a triage nurse to call us back. You see it has been a solid week of Tres having diarhea. I know we've had a bug, because Hank and I both had it, but this just seems abnormal. The nurse told us to try to load him down with breads and starches to try to thicken things up... and to get him some Gatorade to make sure he staid hydrated. Anyway, keep us in your prayers, because if he doesn't stop having messy diapers, we'll have to go in for blood work and they want to test his stool and all kinds of fun stuff.
Other than that, we've had a very laid back day. I had to go to the doctor for a check-up, then I came home and we played with the boys for a while. Then I put them both down for a nap and Hank and I also laid down. Then we headed over to my parent's house around 2. We were going to spend the day by the pool, but the rainy weather kind of postponed those plans! We did grill our hamburgers (big fat ones that Hank and I patted), hot dogs, french fries, corn on the cob, fresh peach cobbler, and homemade chocolate ice cream. Tres and Bryant played around the garage will we grilled out and then played around some more when we made the ice cream. Mom and I bathed Bryant and mom held him while I cut his hair (people were starting to call him a girl!). Then I tucked Bryant in at Grandma's, since he stays with her on Tuesdays, and Hank, Tres, and I headed home. Tres fell asleep on the way home, and now Hank and I have a very quiet house! Love it! Hope you all had a great day!

Bryant is working on cutting in about 3 teeth right now. He was being fussy Saturday, so we gave him a popsicle and he calmed right down! I'm sure it was good, but I'm sure the cold on his gums felt wonderful! Posted by Hello

Our next door neighbor, Mrs. Edwards. Her birthday was Saturday and Tres and I made her some brownies and a birthday picture. About 2 or 3 weeks ago, Tres told Mrs. Edwards that she didn't have a leg. I'm sure that was news to her, huh. Posted by Hello

Tres & Bryant both love to play outside.. and playing with the light sabers is forbidden inside, so here is our little Jedi. May the force be with you! Posted by Hello

My two guys! They both like to sit in this chair, and we finally convinced them that it is okay if they both sit in it at the same time!! Tres was still not feeling well in this picture, but he can still smile like a cheese ball! Posted by Hello

Sick & Tired

Tres and I have been down and out with some sort of little bug lately. It hasn't been a lot of fun, but we are on th mend now! Sorry for the lack of blogging, but I'm sure that will change!
'el has an engagement tonight and tomorrow night at a Church of God college and career retreat. I will post pictures of that later! We are starting to really groove as a group. I am so excited to be a part of it! We should have some details on the garage sale pretty soon, and when we do, I'll post those as well. It's going to be even bigger than we thought! I think Sierra (Tonnie's oldest) is even going to set up a bake sale booth!

Member when?

I have seen this on a couple of different sites and I thought it would be fun.
"If you read this, even if I don't speak to you often, you must post a memory of me.
It can be anything you want, it can be good or bad, just so long as it happened.
Then post this to your journal to see what people remember about you."

I think I have finally mastered the new scanner. Here is a better scan of this picture. Hank was about 3 years old. He said he thinks he remembers this was at a Bozo event around Christmas time. But what an odd combination! Santa and Bozo! Posted by Hello

I just wanted to post a picture of my sister's little boy, Luke Orion Glover. He is such a character!! He is 4 years old and one of the funniest kids you'll meet. Yesterday, we went to eat with him. My dad said something about a belly button. Luke died laughing, and I mean gut laughing! We asked him what was so funny. He said, "Grandaddy said belly button!" Posted by Hello

Off Days...

I have been feeling a little bit off lately, so I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. I spent last night trying to get some house work done (the bulk of it was done by my husband!), but only got a couple of loads of laundry done and folded. I just feel drained, nauseaus (sp?), and have had a lot of headaches lately. It doesn't feel like sinuses, and it doesn't feel like pregnancy... I just feel off. Know what I mean?

Boots Were Made for Walking

These boots were passed down from my sister's daughter Sierra, to her son Luke, and then to Tres.  Posted by Hello

Aunt Jennie & Bryant

This is Bryant and his favorite person to boss around, his Aunt Jennie. She answers this child's beck and call! He thinks she is alive just to please him... so the relationship works really well for them!  Posted by Hello

Cowboy in the Making!

Tres got to ride a pony at Mother's Day Out last month. They had Western week, and all the kids got a chance to ride. This pony's name is Buttercup. Posted by Hello

Hello, my name is Jamie...

And I am addicted to blogging. I am sitting here at my computer in my pajamas at 9 pm... eating the remainder of my Ben & Jerry's ice cream and jumping from blog to blog. My ice cream is good. It's called Coffee Heath Bar Crunch. You REALLY have to like coffee. Anyway...

Busy-Fun Weekend... so far!

I went to dinner last night with Nicole. We went to Olive Garden and just chatted and gabbed the whole time! Then I needed to run into the mall for a birthday present for a birthday party in the endless string of them we seem to be getting invited to lately! Anyway, I hit the clearance section at Disney and found something cute for a VERY good price. If you are looking for any birthday/christmas gifts for little girls, they have some really cute stuff in the clearance section.
After dinner, I went home and Hank and I went to Wal-Mart really late. Not for anything specific, but we didn't have the boys (they spent the night at my parents house) and just wanted to do something out of the ordinary. We looked at movies and kids stuff, then we got some ice cream and came home.
This morning, we went and got the boys and headed over to Ashlyn's (my god daughter) birthday party. We staid for an hour or so and then left because I had little cranky butts that needed naps! We went back to mom's, I got Bryant down for a nap, but Tres would not. So he and I headed out to the pool and spent about 2 hours there before anyone else joined us. By the end of the night, my whole family was there eating and swimming. We had steak, salad, potatoes, mac and cheese, all that good stuff!
Tomorrow we have church, then I have practice with 'el... then we will have a family afternoon!

Tres Stuff

Tres has really been coming into his own when it comes to talking, putting thoughts together, and telling stories. One afternoon, I was working and he kept coming in and interupting me. After he had come in 3 or 4 times I said, "Tres, you are really pushing my buttons!" He got this really quizzical, confused look on his face. Then he looked at my computer keyboard and said, "No mama... I not push any buttons!"
I think I've mentioned this one before, he says 'he bout' instead of how about.
And for some reason, when he says no, he adds ah to the end... so it goes something like this:
"Tres, it's time for bed/bath/eat veggies, etc."
"Oh Nooo-ah!"
Kind of like an old school pentacostal preacher!
I often hear him telling his Rescue Heros and Buzz Toys that they have to "be quiet, and listen" and yesterday, I heard him tell them that "The Bible says to be sweet and kind, tender hearted. Amen." We work on Bible verses because I love to hear him say them... there is just such innocence and I want God's principles in my boys' hearts at an early age!
And when he gets excited about something, or is really trying to tell a story, you CAN NOT understand him!
That is my sweetheart!

Got Milk?

This was Bryant on Sunday morning before we left for church... he's chugging that chocolate milk like there is no tomorrow! Posted by Hello

Wakey, Wakey!

Bryant likes to wake big brother up in the mornings! Tres is not always happy about it! Posted by Hello

All Aboard!

I just wanted to post this picture! I want to tell everyone who reads this blog what an INCREDIBLE husband I have. He is a phenominal daddy... an awesome husband... a true best friend... He has been my answer to a lifelong prayer. I love you, Hankie! Posted by Hello

Lots For Sale?

Any body know of any land in the Alabaster/Pelham/Helena area that is for sale? Hank and I want to build a house one day and are on the look-out. We have found a few lots in subdivisions... but not a whole lot seems to be out there!

Garage Sale Update

Our group 'el has decided to put off the garage sale for a couple of weeks. We are working on getting people to donate items to it (so if you wanna, please do!). Plus, Tonnie and I... well our kids... got an invitation to a birthday party this Saturday to a friend of ours daughters birthday party. Can I just say... the amount of birthday parties we go to is staggering. With 2 children, I guess I just need to accept it as a fact of life. Either that or hurt a lot of people's feelings! Also, Keri has to go to a wedding... so we postponed it!

Mother's Day

I totally forgot to tell you guys about what my mom and I did to celebrate Mother's Day! We decided to go out last Tuesday night... just she and I. We dropped the kids off with Hank and headed to Wildwood. We had looked at some movie times and decided that would be our best bet. We grabbed a sandwich at Quiznos because we had a buy a sub get a sub free coupon. So we spent $6 there. As we were headed over to the theatre, this big black man comes up and asks us if we are going to see a movie. We say yes, and he offers us free passes to see a sneak peak of Monster-in-Law! I was so happy because I had wanted to see that! We had such a good time. We laughed! In fact, I thought I was going to wet my pants on one part. Then we laughed and talked all the way home. So that's how we celebrated Mother's Day! Posted by Hello

$1 Movie

Hank and I just got back from watching Ocean's 12 at the new Amstar Cinema in Alabaster. It was fun to get out kind of spur of the moment. You see, when I went to pick up Bryant yesterday, Valerie looked like she had had a rough day with both kids, so I offered to keep Felicity so they could go see a movie. They returned the favor tonight. Not only was it good for both couples to get out and just be a couple, but it really helped us learn to lean a little! I'm always trying to make sure everyone else is taken care of! Anyway, it was a funny movie. Hank really enjoyed it. Hank is going to be one of the many hitting the midnight showing of the new Star Wars tomorrow night... along with Brett and his posse. I think he'll have fun.

Weekends and Mondays

For some reason, weekends and Mondays fly by before I can even catch my breath! But such is life I suppose!
We spent the weekend outdoors mainly.
Friday night, Jennifer Jones (Hey Jenn!), Tres and I went to C.L.F. for the Music Under the Stars. We had a really good time seeing people we hadn't seen in forever! Nicole (White) Brock, Anna (Banana), Corey (Burnette) Heath, Amy & Brian Underwood, Tina Howard and on and on! Tres had a good time running around and chasing bubbles.
On Saturday we went to Felicity Goebel's 1st birthday party. We go to church with the Goebels. Also Felicity's mom, Valerie, keeps Bryant for me about 3 times a week. So Bryant LOVES Felicity. They live in the cul-de-sac of our street, and Valerie has joined choir, so I am excited about having a carpool buddy on Sunday mornings! The party was at a park in Calera. The kids loved that. Bryant liked swinging and Tres liked riding his tricycle.
On Sunday, we had church. Then I had practice with 'el for 3 hours. Then we went to a cook-out with the 'Young Married' group. It was fun! Everyone brought kids and/or pets. I got to meet some new couples and hang out with people I don't get to spend a lot of time with! Again, the kids had a blast... and got super dirty!
Mondays are rough... probably just the nature of Mondays. Getting the week organized and started. So I got to post some pics but not blog! SO anyway, now you are all caught up!

Okay... this is new scanner, so I still haven't got it all figured out yet. Anyway, here is a picture of Hank in 1975 with Bozo the Clown AND Santa Claus. He was about 3 in this picture. Interesting note... I was born in 1978!  Posted by Hello

Tres had a good time too... but her liked feeding his food to the dogs that people brought. This picture is kind of funny... Tres picked up the camera, handed it to one of the guys in the group and told him to take a picture! Little bossy butt! Posted by Hello

We went to a cook-out yesterday evening for our 'Young Married' group. It was a lot of fun... but I didn't get to eat a whole lot! Bryant ate over half of my hamburger, a serving of mac & cheese, and a piece of cake all by himself!  Posted by Hello

All the Boemer boys... heading down the slide Posted by Hello

Tres also likes to give Bryant rides! Posted by Hello

Tres has just mastered the fine art of peddling. We have been hauling his tricycle around ever since! Posted by Hello

People have been telling me lately that Tres looks like a carbon copy of me... what do you think? Posted by Hello

I know this is cheeseball... but this is the first time I had matching outfits for the boys and I couldn't resist! I thought they looked adorable! Posted by Hello

Felicity was having a good time with her Strawberry Shortcake birthday cake. Right after this picture, she got her grandma on her white shirt with some red icing! Posted by Hello

On Saturday morning, we went to George Roy park in Calera for Felicity Goebel's 1st birthday party. This is the birthday girl with her grandmother, Fern. Bryant thinks he is one of the family since he stays with them 3 times a week!  Posted by Hello
